  • Emily Y. Chen is a pianist and flutist. She earned MTAC Certificate of Merit in Advanced Level with Honor at the age of 10, and was also invited to play at the New York Carnegie Hall after winning the American Protégé International Competition. In 2018, Emily won First Place at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition and was invited to play in Rome, Italy. In 2019, Emily was accepted into the Early Entrance Program of the Honor College at Cal State Los Angeles and became a college freshman at the age of 15. She also passed the MTAC Piano Panel exam with Honor in February, and won the Concerto Grand Prix Winner at the Concert Festival International Competition and performed in New York with a concert orchestra in October.
